We are looking for assistant coaches for the middle school and varsity levels. This past year, we had 100+ student-athletes in our program (3rd grade to 12 th grade) and will continue to grow in 2022. Previous head coaching in a high school or collegiate setting is desired previous demonstrated success in track & field as an athlete is required. Strong leadership and collaborative skills, a positive, education-based approach, and a deep understanding of the sport are a must. The next head coach should be focused on increasing participation numbers and building an already strong program that has produced all-Ohio athletes every season but one since 2004. The next head coach will be totally in charge of athlete and team development and management for the varsity boys, but focus on an event area and coordinate the training and talent utilization for the varsity boys team as a whole. We run a combined program (7-12) in training so that every coach can focus on a specific technical group of events while still maintaining a strong sense of team within the genders and levels. The position will also involve coordination with the multiple assistant coaches and the girls head coach in the jumps, distance events, relays, and pole vault. This position would involve coordination of all aspects of a high quality track and field program and direct day to day athlete technical coaching of the sprinters, hurdlers, and throwers.
